Trail Report 1/28 Club Ride

Looking back a few days ago we did not think our first club ride of the season would be possible but thanks to Mother Nature playing along we were able to get our first club ride of the 2017 season completed. Always good to take some time with the folks you work side by side with during the year to keep the trails in shape. We had a nice turn out along with some additional club members meeting us for lunch. Very thankful for the weather conditions being just perfect and the trails being ok considering we just reopened, not perfect but good. Our appreciation goes out to Mr T for once again spending the needed hours making it flat and our morning jog to the Amos Brown House was mint. As planed we headed north once hitting the state line and would be back to Amos Brown later in the day for lunch. Happy to report that snow cover is ok, could be better but with this weeks temps in the 20-30 range and mini storm heading our way all 3 trail systems in the southern region should fare well. Grooming is ongoing once again throughout all three systems. The run through the woods out to the power lines was good, started snowing shortly after starting the run to the river but other than the usual water bars this time of year on the way down the hill to the river it was good and ok back up over the mountain to 100. Crossed 100 and things got wider and snow conditions picked up. Stayed left on 9 towards the dam and crossed to the other side for a short rest before we started heading back for lunch. Early season conditions still exist but our snow base is holding and starting to grow, let’s keep on snow dancing and we can get there. After crossing back over 100 to head of the pond trails were good. Hit groomed trails when we got back to 8 and headed south back to AB for lunch. It was a perfect 35+ mile round trip with ages from 3 to 76 and we ALL had a great time. Having lunch at Amos Brown home & property looking out over the views and the fields, knowing you can get on your snowmobile and ride off in 4 different directions in 2 different states, enjoying some laughs and miles during a beautiful Vermont Saturday is what snowmobiling is all about. We welcome all to join us on our next club ride 3/2/17 and in 2 weeks at the Amos Brown House & Property for SNOW FEST 2017. See You There !! SNOW FEST RAFFLE 20+ PRIZES CLICK :
