Friday opening day started out with the temperatures being zero degrees out but a beautiful sunny day. Some of our volunteers were out checking and clearing our trails and their reports are as follows. The snow received over the last 10 days surely helped us open on 12/16/16. Being able to open the trails on opening day is always a good signs of things to come. Our bordering clubs Woodford and DSVJ were also able to open as well. Snow cover in some areas was good and in others more snow was definitely needed. Our grooming had started this week and temps at night have been low. Sunday was more rain then wanted and we will have to see what happens in the next few days. Grooming will be ongoing throughout the season when conditions allow. Hopefully the coming week will yield some more needed snow that is looming in the weeks forecast and suggest everyone wait a few days and see where we are before heading out. These pictures were sent in are from opening day, wishing all a Happy Holiday.
