CONCORD — After more than 20 years in Coleman State Park, the Swift Diamond Riders Snowmobile Club's New Hampshire SnoDeo is moving to a new home. However, SnoDeo isn't moving very far, and snowmobilers know the location well.

The board of directors for the Swift Diamond Riders made the decision before the 2015-16 season, that the 25th Annual New Hampshire SnoDeo would be the first on a tract of land behind the club's warming hut at 978 Diamond Pond Road in Stewartstown.

The new location is less than a mile down the hill from Coleman State Park. Snowmobilers stop at the warming hut regularly during the snowmobile season to access the 24/7 gas pump and to stop for a bite to eat on weekends in the warming hut's full service snack bar.

"We were having to pay more fees to use the park," said Swift Diamond Club President Tim Anderson. "SnoDeo is a fundraiser for our club's trail maintenance program and those fees were reducing the amount of money returned to that program. We needed room to grow the SnoDeo as well, and this site gives us a lot of growth potential."

SnoDeo is accessible by car or snowmobile. Snowmobilers can take corridor trails 5 and 18 to trail 127 to snowmobile parking.

The only real change is SnoDeo's new home. All four of the major snowmobile manufacturers: Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski Doo and Yamaha are returning with new models. There will be vendors selling snowmobiles and snowmobile related gear. Rave X Performance will appear this Saturday at 11:30 a.m. for their annual SnoDeo freestyle show, the vintage snowmobile tent is back and you can get a bird's eye view of New Hampshire's North Country on a helicopter ride with CR Helicopters of Nashua.

The Swift Diamond Riders Club is a snowmobile club based in West Stewartstown. Named one of Snow-goer Magazine's "Top 10 must experience snowmobile events" in the U.S., the 25th Annual New Hampshire SnoDeo is March 3 and 4. It benefits the club for trail maintenance, as well as other club activities that promote snowmobiling in New Hampshire's North Country.
