Trail System Update: The Guilford Pitstoppers Snowmobile Club has been hard at work in the off season doing many improvements to their trail system. Our trail system and theirs meet one another at Deerpark Road. We have always enjoyed heading south to Guilford through their trail system and having lunch at the Guilford General Store, and now with an added bonus of gas available.
The Pittstoppers do amazing bridge work and this season they have again pushed the limits with their bridge building abilities. They used an aluminum 48’ truck trailer and decked over it. The Pitstoppers are resigning all intersections, creating a new map, many trail upgrades, and working on gas at the store which we understand is happening.
Sometimes the path less traveled is the best places to ride. With the great elevation changes and look outs, winding through, a large Maple Sugar operation, Gun Club, Open Fields, & Power Lines, the Guilford Trail system is worth the trip south and when you get to the end you can fill your belly with hot food your sled with gas and turn around and enjoy the ride back to where you started from.
NOTE: Clubs working together can achieve far more when doing so. We have enjoyed being able to share ideas and the work load with the Pitstoppers, to make the upcoming season better for us all.
